city, better known as Jerez de la Frontera is famous because
of its sweet wines. The town is actually named after these
sweet wines otherwise called "sherry" by the British. The
words "de la Fontera" because it once stood on the border
between the Christian and Moorish regions. The town is otherwise
very famous throughout the world for its horses, singers

It is situated very close to Sevilla and
is the perfect place to visit if you intend to holiday in
Andalucia. Jerez has two major festivals each year and this
is by far the best time to visit. During May the horse fair
happens and then during September the festival of the vintage
