Lauro Golf Course (Mijas)
Famous for its panoramic views and beautiful rural setting, Lauro Golf Course provides a delightful test of golf next to the protected Sierra de Mijas forest in Malaga. Newly improved and boasting some of the best greens on the coast, the course consists of 27 holes, tree lined fairways and several water hazards which pepper the relatively flat parkland-style course.
Challenging but with no hidden traps, golfers will appreciate the honest layout of the course, as all hazards can be easily seen. The large greens are fast and well protected while the water hazards demand some skill but are never too difficult. The natural environment provides beauty as well as shade from the sun and the two main winds of the area change the difficulty of the holes depending on their direction.
As well as buggy, golf car and trolley hire, the Golf Club offers many other facilities worth taking advantage of. There is an equestrian centre, a paddle tennis and swimming pool, a highly rated restaurant and a clubhouse which was formerly an 18th century farmhouse. The pitch and putting green, pro shop and golf school provide everything you need to improve your golfing skills, while the pine, cork, olive and citrus trees create a fragrant backdrop to this popular established course.
